Petmaids will provide a reliable, caring and trustworthy service for you and your pets.
All pets will need to be registered with us. We will arrange a visit to meet you and your pet and will require details about your pets health, history, behaviour, habits, likes and dislikes and we will also require a record of your vets details and any vaccinations your pet has had. It is assumed that homes will be unoccupied unless otherwise informed when home visits are made. You must ensure we know of anyone having access to your home during our visits. We will leave the house as we find it, and your key will be kept safe or in a specified place.
All dogs in our care must be insured and registered at a vets, and these details given to us in case we need to take your pet to the vets. You will be contacted if we feel your pet needs veterinary attention. In an emergency, if the owner can't be contacted, we will take your pet for veterinary care.
If you have a bitch that is in season they can't be taken on group walks off-lead but a solo walk on-lead can be arranged. All dogs in Petmaids care will require a name tag on their collar (required by law) and we recommend they are micro-chipped for their own safety. When group walking we may have up to 6 dogs per walk which may include our own dogs. Dogs must be sociable with other dogs and people and well-behaved when group walking.
We do not accept dogs that are listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act. These are Pit Bull terriers, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Braziliero.
All dogs need to have up to date vaccinations and need to be on a regular flea and worming programme if in the care of Petmaids. We are happy to administer medication, flea or worming tablets that your pet may require whilst in Petmaids care. If your pet has any health or behaviour problems, then Petmaids need to be informed of these prior to us caring for them. Clients must inform Petmaids if their pet has or has had an illness since making a booking with us. A pet with any infectious condition can not be accepted until cleared.
The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred whilst in Petmaids care.
Petmaids are fully insured with Cliverton Insurance and CRB checked.
